Mrs. Anania, Mrs. Pingatore, Ms. Day, and Mr. Zimmer have teamed up their iROCK classes (1st Period on Monday) to work on MAD projects. MAD stands for "Make a Difference" as we promote collaboration with the kids in an effort to help others. The students have been enthusiastic about the projects and many have become leaders with their specific project groups. Here is what our classes are doing for 1st Trimester:
1. Making cards, bracelets, and Pillow pets for Peyton Manning and Riley's Children Hospitals.
2. Making ribbons to pass out to the school on October 23rd as we honor Breast Cancer Awareness month.
3. Creating a Large TOLERANCE poster to hang in the cafeteria that students can sign and post quotes to in reference to the word's meaning (Acceptance of Differences).
All four classes will continue to meet every two weeks to work together in Making a Difference. For 2nd Trimester, we plan to adopt a family for the holidays.
